This artist may be green, but an aura of wisdom and experience surrounds her when she’s on the stage. Her music stems from a deeply political space that was awakened after a trip she took to Vermont, in 2015, to study the arts for the summer. She signed up for a slam poetry class where she learned of the injustices that the lgbtq and minority communities face. Stories from her peers inspired her passion to pursue songwriting that told their stories through song. Now just four years later, Jordan Occasionally writes and performs her own music in hopes of encouraging more people to be the leaders of today for tomorrow’s generation. She is now sharing her original art with the public and hopes that her music inspires change, believing that one is never too young to recognize how the story of their roots can change the world.
Stay tuned: Her EP will be released in the Spring of 2019.
